Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of the Chicago, Illinois four-piece psychedelic rock/doom metal band MOUNT SALEM featuring the talents of Emily Kopplin (vocals and organ), Cody Davidson (drums), Mark Hewett (bass) and Kyle Morrison (guitar). Metal Blade is preparing to reissue the band's sold-out EP, "Endless", in the spring of 2014, including two brand-new tracks, making the release a full-length. Says Hewett: "Coming up listening to Metal Blade bands that have influenced mine and countless others' musical taste, it never crossed my mind that I might be a part of such an influence. "We are very excited to meet new people, play with some new bands, see new places, and have a good time! "We are honored to be a part of Metal Blade, a label that has such a great timeline of music history. We are looking forward to contributing to that history as well."MOUNT SALEM is currently touring and writing new material for a follow-up full-length effort.
