Movie tread

hmm, ehmm...thanks *cough*:)

ok then i'll start here:

well, the most recent first:lord of the rings:)

>fight club

>12 monkeys

>taxi driver

stanley kubrick films:
>Dr. strangelove or how i stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb
>2001:a space oddysey
>a clockwork orange

roman polanski films:
>the fearless vampirekillers
>repulsion
>rosemary's baby

>bram stokers dracula

>interview with a vampire

well, since i'm such a wolffan, i love "an american werewolf in london" (fuck the sequel) and "the howling" (again forget about the countless sequels)

i really hate blockbuster hollywood shit, especially the "comedies" (are they funny anyway?) :bah:

de herr van de ringen!? great, i really loved that film, also because i've allways been into this roleplaying game stuff, "das schwarze auge", a german game, quite like ad&d!
Hmm, roleplaying games...would this be worth a new thread? i don't know, whoever would like to start one, should go ahead, but i don't want to force mark to do an "off topic" subforum, like on the opethboard!:D :) :D :)

David Lynch... weird, weird man..

-Twin Peaks
-Lost Highway
-Blue Velvet
-Eraserhead

Tim Burton
-Nightmare Before Christmass
-Sleepy Hollow
-Beetlejuice (childhood memories :D )
-Ed Wood

-Lord of the Rings and Repulsion too :)

Dario Argento... italian classy horror movies ;)
-Suspiria
-Tenebre
-Phenomena

those are the ones i remember now, i tend to forget a lot of things

I have the Twin Peaks soundtrack, one of the only soundtracks I own actually. It's soooooo awesome...

My latest fav director is Darren Aronofsky, who did "Requiem For a Dream" and "Pi", both masterpieces imo. It's obvious that "Cosmic Genesis" is really inspired by the "spiral" concept in "Pi"...as many of you probably know...and I've heard his next album is supposed to be practically based on that movie alone. (the title would suggest that anyway).

Ummm well the rest of my list would be the obvious ones...y'know, Fight Club, LotR, Matrix, etc...I've been up since 5:30 this morning so my brain needs another 3-4 hours to begin functioning, if it ever does:lol:

Hmmm.... movies.... I don't like them! >:eek:P
I have never been into movies...
I can never remember them a week after I
saw them! Films are too much "in my face"
there's nothing left for my imagination I
guess.... But I have some fav's....

Edward Scissorhands
Powder
Trainspotting
Pulp Fiction
Fight Club
The Sixth Sense

And probably a couple more,
but I can't remember them right now >:eek:P

Oh! The Crow (1st) was nice )

1. Braveheart
2. Lotr - Fotr
3. Gladiator
4. Snatch
5. Monty Python - Quest for the Holy Grail

Bravheart has yet to be dethroned.......:D

I love Monty Python movies, especially The search for the holy grail and Life of brian, but here's my all time favourites...:

-Lord of the Rings
-Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
-Ronja Rövardotter (hihi...)
-Braveheart

And I love those old movies, like with Jean Harlow, Lana Turner, Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Marylin Monroe and so on... Rudolph Valentino ;)

Tim Burton films - all of them, I'd say
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Legend
Fight Club
Ninja Scroll
Mallrats
The Seventh Seal (from the 30's)
Young Guns 1 and 2....seriously, give these a watch!!
American Beauty
12 Monkeys
Dark Crystal
Swingers
Natural Born Killers
.....................just to name a few...

La Haine (The Hate)
Mulholland Drive
Lost Highway
Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (Amelie)
La Cité de la Peur (?)
Place Vendome, even if it isn't so great, but i am in love with Emmanuelle Seignier (La 9e Porte, / 9th Gate ?) :)

I rarely ever see a movie in the theater...maybe twice a year. I usually just wait until they come out on VHS(now DVD) or cable.

Some of my faves are:
Interview with the Vampire
Fight Club
American Beauty
Pulp Fiction
any Kevin Smith movie
any Tim Burton movie
etc.
