Me and a buddy were talking about how long drum replacement has been around I say early nintes (about 1990-present) He says only the last ten years or so? Whats really going on? Let us know someone seal the deal
i think one of the first albums with samples added/replaced was Gaucho by Steely dan in 1980. One of the engineers, Roger nichols, used a computer to sequence drum samples along side the recorded drums. At least that's what i've heard.
