Yes, and i have listened to they keyboard melodies and atempts to make evil sounding crap. ( and no hold the flames im not saying black metal is about that, but THEY think is about that ). Its pretty obious i mean ive seen their video and i though "Woa immortal has really gone lame, wait a second that guy has short hair and growls like a sissy".

Needless to say its pathetic, and I got the same Black Metal vibe from them minus everything that is good about BM.

So heavy metal has been exploited ( glam ), trash metal has been exploited by media ( early 90s bands like Pantera, Early Machine Head, Early Fear Factory, etc ), Death Metal ( this slipknot crap ) and now black metal ( mushroomhead ).

Lets guess what metal genre will be exploited next

I can see it now, elves on stage, while they dance around, and the band sings about how their mommy and daddy dont buy them a sword, or new chain mail....then a big fake dragon pops out of the back drop, and while the guitar player solos, fire shoots out the headstock, and kills the dragon. The last verse are just extremely high pitched vocals, talking about the lack of medieval renaissance stores at the mall...

on MTV while the video is playing, on the bottom, there can be a little ticker that runs by...describing the scale, key and time signature the solo is in, and the polyrythmic structure of the drum lines...

Why bother with a video at all? lets just send mtv instructional videos of how to play our own goddamn songs, there will be 4 different versions each for each instrument or something.
