I know we all love great metal, but everyone likes something that's
not in the 'great metal' category.....

If you're brave enough, pull out the skeletons in the closet and
admit to music that's embarrassing or something....
If you say you got none, you're lyin!

haha !
what a cool thread !
ive always wanted to open a thread like that myself, but it slipped out of my mind...

just for the record: im not ashamed of anything i have in my cd collection, each cd i think is cool in its own way, and i have an open mind to love just about everything.

i think the most "emberassing cd" i have is Destiny's Child.

I have alot of stuff I should be ashamed of! But, I'm not. I'm more ashamed of how little I really have on cd, compared to tape. Okay, that's TMI.

Kottonmouth Kings, Hidden Stash II. YEAH! "It's all about the weed...."

C'Mon :) Can't be that bad knowin' you. I know it's not gonna be

Well, I have some 'shit' that I got as presents. A friend once bought me a Suzanne Vega CD. I don't know what the hell he was thinking... and that's the same guy who bought me "Souls Of Black" for a X-mas present ...

Perhaps a hint to change my musical taste??? NOT.

i probally have the biggest variety of music taste than anybody. i listen to everything but country music. my 1st 2 CD's i bought were RUN DMC & Beastie Boys, then my sister got me into Bon Jovi,Cinderella,Slaughter era, the only other source of music was KC Kasum(spell check) top 40 so u can imagine the music. pop bands from the 80's DH & JO,Phil Collins,MJ,Prince & so on. my wife like Nickelback,Sevendust,Korn,Staind,Incubus & so on & i like some Rap,not hip hop but the harder stuff like Ice Cube,WSC,Method Man,DMX. so there you have it, my wide range of taste.

:tickled:
When I was a young lad, all I listened to was Kiss until 1978, my sister's punk friend brought over 2 records. "Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols" and "Are WE
Not Men, We Are Devo"! I stopped listening to Kiss at that very moment and continued to be a hardcore Devo fan for the rest of my life. I even have a Devo tattoo and got to meet one of the founding members last year. I love this band more than life itself. Now before I get thrashed from anyone here, I have to say this. Most Devo fans that I have met and talked to, are hardcore Heavy Metal fans. There is a connection somehow. That's my secret but I am not ashamed. Duty Now For The Future!

I own Load. Bought it a while ago. Trading it in would probably get me all of two dollars, so I keep it around and listen to "Outlaw Torn" and "The House That Jack Built" every once in a while. Then, back in the CD rack it goes.

If we're talking non-metal, I dig Radiohead and The Darkness, as well as a lot of bluegrass stuff (my parents play bluegrass, so I've been listening to it from an early age). And of course, Johnny Cash is GOD.

Anyone else listen to The Proclaimers? Awesome Scottish rock duo; their biggest hit was Five Hundred Miles, which some of you may have heard - "Well, I would walk five hundred miles, and I would walk five hundred more..." Those dudes kick ass.

Yup, I wasn't trashing Suzanne Vega. I just don't care for that kind of music... AT ALL. It's just an odd thing I have, if I still have it in my collection.

Radiohead :ill: , (that's cool that you like it Pyrus), but that's another band I don't care for that tons of people seem to like , another one of those is Tool.
