yeah sounds like a cheap trick to me as well. instead of listing the petty few items that coupon is actually eligible for, they're listing everything it isn't. this sounds like something that only should happen as a shitty joke in cartoons or something.

Pretty sure GC and MF are owned by the same company....that is why they have very similar deals.

GC owns Musician's Friend, Music123, Harmony Central, Music & Arts Center, LMI, Giardinelli, Musician.com, Private Reserve Guitars, Woodwind and Brasswind. GC is owned by Bain Capital private equity which has its fingers in tons of stuff.

If you call them they will usually do the deal with you. It's like GC's in-store exclusions list is 1/4 the size of the online exclusions list.
