Muslims, Mexicans and Liberals...

She summed it up best in her last paragraph. Why is it that until recently do we need "bilingual" programs when every immigrant group that came here in the past didn't? Back at the turn of the century when Italians, Swedes and God knows who else came here didn't have these programs and yet they some how managed to learn English and assimilated. Like it or not The U.S. is an English speaking Christian country. You are not forced to come here. You are free to worship your own religion but we do not have to change our ways to cater to you. If you are "offended" by a Manger scene at city hall(I say that because this shit comes up every Christmas) TOO FUCKING BAD. However, YOU WILL LEARN THE LANGUAGE and become a citizen to have your vote in the election process. This multiculturalism shit has got to stop NOW!!!!

The whole concept make me insane...I can't stand seeing all the bilingual signs in my kids schools. It slows down the whole program.

The United States does not have an official language.

The United States does not have an official language at federal level; nevertheless, American English is the first and/or only language of the overwhelming majority of the population and serves as the de facto official language: English is the language used for legislation, regulations, executive orders, treaties, federal court rulings, and all other official pronouncements.

Twenty-seven individual states have adopted English as their official language, and three of those—Hawaii, Louisiana, and New Mexico—have also adopted a second official language (Hawaiian, French and Spanish, respectively). Spanish follows English as the second-most spoken language in the United States, primarily due to the influence of recent Latin American immigrants and the fact that almost a fifth of its continental territory was originally part of Mexico, and it is a primary spoken language in some areas of the Southwest. Puerto Rico's first language is Spanish, and while it is a US territory and not a state its citizens have similar rights and their migration has a significant linguistic impact on New York State and other areas.

Where in the US Constitution does it say we're a Christian Country? Where in any founding document can you find any mention of Jesus Christ? No where. Culturally, a majority of our citizens are Christian but it has nothing to do with it being an official religion and it has nothing to do with the law.

multiculturalism is a curse and it doesnt work for the better of any nation that bends and twists and tries to make allowances for it. everybody loses and the host nation implodes as a result.

when this nation sinks to the bottom, as i feel it's now well on its way to doing, the same liberal braindeads that sang the praises of 'tolerance and multiculturalism' will squeal like pigs: 'DO SOMETHING!! DO SOMETHING!!

when immigrants came here many years ago, they were proud to be here and worked to assimilate into the culture. that meant learning ENGLISH!!
now, we've got a nation of whiners that says to require immigrants [illegal or otherwise] to try and learn English is trampling on their 'individuality' and their 'human rights.' :err:

somebody had better start thinking about the rights of the legal and rightful citizens of this nation soon, or we're all going to Hell in a handbasket.
we cant accomodate every single culture that comes in here. it's one thing if we go and get them and bring them here.
it's quite something else if they make the choice to come here on their own.

I agree completely - the situation is the same in Europe and even worse in Germany and Austria because these countries still suffer from "de-nazification" (or however you call that in English).

This, to me, seems like a silent invasion. If Mexico decided to take back texas , do you think that the mexicans in texas would show loyalty to the US or mexico?

several things...

we cant seem to find a way of keeping them from crossing the borders illegally. any attempts by citizens [the Minutemen project] or by the government will result in a chorus of shrill, over-medicated liberals screaming 'RACISM!!! RACISM!!!'

the Mexican government will be of NO help. el Presidente Fox has refused to call them 'illegal immigrants' or to admit that what they're doing is wrong. i saw him on an interview calling them 'workers' who simply want to find a better life for themselves.
granted... i agree with that, to an extent, BUT, when they cross illegally, they're also criminals.
the fact that their president not only denies they're breaking any laws, but encourages them to keep on [rather than working to solve the Mexican economic problems from the inside] shows his own complicity in their crimes.

my solution?
we annex Mexico and make it a part of the US. we could put it's resources to better use than they can, all those illegals would no longer be illegal and they could pay taxes and everything else. they'd be under US law as a 51st state.
Presidente Fox? he's an incompetent. we'll give the people of Mexico, USA a chance to vote on him for governor, but nothing more.

we may as well take them over.
we've got more Mexicans here than there are in Mexico at this point, anyway. :loco:

But you didnt answer the question Sue. Hypothedically speaking of course, if we went to war with mexico, would the mexicans here in america show loyalty to the US or to mexico?

realistically, we have Americans born and raised here their whole lives who dont show loyalty to the US.
make Mexico the 51st state, so when they show loyalty to Mexico, it'll be the same as showing loyalty to a specific American state.
as long as they're made to pay federal taxes for working in the US, i dont care.
