Must have DVD's

Testament-Live in London
Shadows Fall-The Art of Touring
Judas Priest-Rising In the East

How is that Shadows Fall dvd? I have added that to the X-Mas list also the Killswitch Engage....
Looking forward to the Arch Enmy early in 2006!
The Rush DVD is the shit!
I was too impressed by Halford's vocal performance...
He's not an embarrassment, but it's not Rob of old....

Oh darn! I thought this was a wish list thread. I don't have them yet

But I'm heard a few negative remarks about the Shadows Fall DVD. It's a boot...so what do people expect for 11 dollars!

Nah, his voice is shot. I must commend him for not "fixing" the vocals
in the studio and retaining that "live" feel, as awful as it may sound...

Wow, that's harsh. I wouldn't say "shot" at all. He's a bit more selective in going for the high notes, but he still hits what he goes for .... or did when I saw the tour.

Not really metal, but nevertheless:

Mother´s Finest - "Mother´s Finest at Rockpalast"
The Gathering - "A Sound Relief"

np: The Third And The Mortal - "Autophomea/Improv (live)"

A real underdog DVD is "As the hordes stood as one" from Ancient Rites. Not the big and expensive production like the most you´ve mention have, but really worth seeing. The new Rammstein DVD will be killer also, if someone got the extended edition of their last album you´ll know what I mean.

Blind Guardian's "Imaginations Through the Looking Glass"
Rush's "Rush in Rio" (I haven't seen R30 yet so whether that is better than RiR, I don't know)
Iron Maiden's "Rock in Rio"
Testament's "Live in London" (even though DiGiorgio isn't on it, it's still good :zipit:)
Opeth's "Lamentations: Live at Shepard's Bush Empire" (the documentary is nice)

Dead Can Dance - Toward the Within amazing, awesome, incredible

Easily the best band that no one's ever heard of.
Although they're not metal - or even rock, for that matter - this is a band that i can see every metalhead absolutely loving.

They're probably more talented that Maiden - Priest - Accept - Blackmore - Opeth, etc, combined. And that's not an empty boast. :headbang:

Other great DVDs that should not be missed:
My Dying Bride - Sinnamorata
the Gathering - A Sound Relief
Opeth - Lamentations
Anathema - Were You There?

It's not often that you go to a live show and the band sounds exactly
note for note, beat for beat like the cd. These musicians are absofuckinlutely phenomenal!!!!!

Harsh? I could have been "harsh" but elected to use the power of restraint...
By no means is he an "Ozzy" but let's face it, all things must come to an end...
