But no, really- like azal said he's in the midlife crisis thing and is into experimenting to see if he's been missing something all these years. Perhaps you were meant to find those prophylactics. He's looking for someone hip and young to revitalize his youth- and there you are, already in a somewhat submissive role to him... it's all too logical.
