Hi everyone,
I thought i would post some details about my band here and get some useful feedback on any aspects you would care to comment on,

We have been playing together for a while and had some rather annoying hold ups with progressing very far such as multiple drummer issues (including getting one in the first place).

We have done some demo songs (the mixes are not great) which im hoping to improve before we put them out as a demo CD

please have a listen and let us know what you think,

The Band is called Landsraad and you can see our facebook, Myspace and Reverb Nation Pages at the links below,

I like it dude!

Thanks very much !

Obviously goes without saying anyone interested in seeing us play add yourselves to ur friens/or mailing lists on the pages mentioned above,
(muckypup1 i think you did that already :headbang: )

Or if anyone can help us get some gigs we would be eternally grateful :)

I think its awesome dude, cool vocals as well :headbang:

I wish I could help with finding you gigs to play, but Myspace is the only thing I can suggest, contacting as many bands in your area as possible about doing gigs together.

Cool thanks very much ! we are doing the myspace thing as much as poss and contacting as many regular London metal promoters as we can find so fingers crossed :)

Lots of views of this thread but not any more comments, is everyone listening but not liking, or not bothering to listen?

cool thanks, thats one of things i want to address when tidying the songs up a bit, i find it quite hard not to sound like that when our tuning is standard E without it going muddy.

^ I really know what you are saying because I have also some stuff in standard but you have to work really well the the rhythmic section to pull a guitar sound with balls. I know it´s hard but I also know that it´s possible to do better than that ;) Just keep pushing yourself.

Thanks for the solid advice, il keep trying, i know what you mean about the rhythm, ive recorded some parts before that have been really tightly played and they sounded a million times more meaty, i need to tighten up the rhythm guitars more too i guess.

Thats what editing is for :D

yeh i know, our second guitarist can be a bit of a sloppy player when it comes to nailing a recording IMHO so a lot of editing was needed, i didnt want to over do it and make it sound too fake but i think i might do more and just see how it turns out.

Awesome man! I agree w/Nuno the guitars sound a bit thin, but my guitar tone sucks balls at the moment so i really have no room to talk. I like the vocals a lot, though they sound a bit loud to me compared to everything else in the mix. Very cool though, I'd definitely come see you guys live if it wasn't so far away

Cool thanks,
im working on a mix of our fourth recording right now, i might post it up here before its finished for some constructive criticism on this track i have worked on the guitar tone a bit,
i think it would be a while before we could afford to visit the USA to play :)

@DigitalMetal
,,,Impressive gear list - home studio?

Thanks,
Yeah its all mine, squeezed into a small home studio, (although i need to update my Sig) i have just sold my HD Rig as it was worth more than it will be very soon - i fear there are big changes ahead with digidesign so i thought id sell it while it was still worth something,

Im mixing on PTLE right now and to be honest there is not a massive difference (well not to warrrant thousands of bucks)

So right now im using an Mbox for Protools
A Motu 2408 MK3 with RME converters for Cubase

In the past ive done mostly electronic industrial music hence my slight lack of skills with guitar tone :)
