update: RUMBLE GURGLE BLOOM

actually, they weren't as loud as expected; the place has no instrument PA, so they toned things down to the correct level for the mix to be about right. good show; they did 3 songs. the band after them did not seem to have the same take on the lack of PA affecting their mix and consequently the drums and vocals were drowned out.

incidentally, the drummer of khanate (can't recall his name) evidently goes through like 10 sticks a show, because he had a whole line of them set up and kept breaking ones and trading them out (between massive beatz).

i got a cool t-shirt with the art on the index page of o'malley's site (http://www.ideologic.org/), and they're headed to Iowa City tonight.
