Wasn't sure if this belonged in Self-Promotion since this deals with non-metal so I'll post it here. But please move it or delete it if it's inappropriate for this forum.

Anyways, I've decided to start getting into making Electronic Music, which I know literally 0 about making, I just got a bit of music theory and physics of music knowledge, so I make sounds that I like. This is my first song, it's a bit simple but I like it. Tell me what you think / give me feedback of where to improve. Criticism is more than welcome, as it's my first song and I'm not expecting to start out great.

 I love how it implodes at the end. You've obviously got a warped young mind there. I'm not sure what criticism I cab give as I'm not really sure what you're going for tbh. What program/hardware did you make it on?

Used audacity to make the sounds, and acid loops to put it together. Just going for some cool heavy electronic music, I know it's lacking some things like percussion, complex rhythm, and different types of sound. I also might eventually get more experimental, like using a musical scale I developed that has infinite notes, because it doesn't ever hit any octaves.

I didn't think it was very good... But the only problems I think is that the sound you're using doesn't really fit the fast-paced melody, and it really needs things like percussion.

Yeah percussion and rhythm are your friends, my advice would be to try starting with them and then add the synths/glitches and noises after. But hey what ever works for you.

Well currently I'm looking for a program that can do percussion, I'm working with rather limited stuff at the moment. Rhythm is doable in my program but the program makes it much more difficult than it should be (I have to copy the sound onto a new track to change it's duration), so I'll be more inclined to do that when I get a better program.

Fair enough. I recommend Fruity Loops to start out on, then either Logic Audio or Cubase once you're into it.

I'd get a drum set and a synth. But thats just the way I am. Putting music together on the computer annoys me.

I've found some good keyboards at flea markets that are probably from at least 10 years ago. They were sold for around $80 when they were worth hundreds back when they were new.

A good keyboard that lets you make your own sounds, or those cheesy ones with like 50 some pre-made settings?

Not sure, I checked out a couple without about 200 pre-made settings that didn't let you create your own sounds. I'm fine with pre-made but I'm sure one where you could make your own would cost a lot more. But you can change the sound somewhat with audio editing programs.

And about the music. Some parts sound like crap tbh, but its not because of the music but the sound you're using.
