my friend's Jeep was vandalized by people seeking revenge on ANOTHER white Jeep

no idea why this might have happened. tires slashed, soft-top torn apart, entire inside covered with spray paint, seats slashed, outside spray painted words like BITCH, SLUT, CUNT, and HO.

he knows a girl who has a very similar Jeep to him, which was parked a block away. we think she may have been targeted (why were the words all female-directed insults?) and he got hit by accident.

they think there might be more than $2000 of damage, and since his blue-book value is $2700, the car might end up a total loss--he'd just have to buy a new one and junk this one.

or whire primer... rent an airbrush (or look around for a god deal)... you can repaint the whole thing for under 200...

Since it's old, the best idea is probably to get another one and save and pats from this one... strip it down to the frame and throw out the trash, keep the body and remove the paint... damnit, it's unibody, isn't it...

only $2700? how old is it? my gf sold hers outright, although it was still pretty new (40k miles or so) for $16k. it had a/c, 4wd, and was soft top.

Oh, I rarely see any cars now that have real frames and bodies...
so you can probably take the body panels off and sand the paint off and repaintthe whole thing a different color or save them for another car if he gets another one..

I guess so. Then he could double plate the body with the sheetmetal from the old one. That would be pretty cool I suppose.
