Hey peeps! :kickass:

Some of you may have seen the other thread where I was asking a few questions about this, but anyway, here they are! My gift to the forum for taking so much from it over the last year (and a bit).

This is what you'll get

Pearl Export ELX 14 x 5.5 Maple

Pearl B1330 13 x 3 Brass Piccolo

Both are hugely multisampled, in varying hit strengths, 5 hits of each. We went all out on the B1330, right down to the tiniest dynamic "tap" just because I figured it had such a lovely 'springy' voicing for really dynamic jazzy playing styles.

They are categorised in 'zones', like Slate snares, only I think I did these slightly different to how they do theirs:

Z1: Close mics mixed with a little ambient
Z2: Close mics with full stereo overheads blended in
Z3: Close mics only
Z4: Overheads and ambient mics, big and compressed

Mics:
Shure SM57 (top)
Samson Q-Snare (bottom)
Samson C01 x3 (overheads & room)

Pre:
Focusrite Saffire Pro 40

Wavs, Gogs, and TCI's!

Here's a quick 'generic rock' mix test I knocked up to test the ELX out:

That's the Pearl Export ELX Z2 (stereo with overheads) with very minimal processing.

Anyway, that's all folks! Enjoy! :headbang:
