i believe they've come in on a wax plant i recently bought (and had to toss because it was so infested and destroyed) i thought all was okay, but i just spotted the creeps on my purple velvet plant! now i have to go and buy some noxious chemical to wipe them out before they kill of every plant in the house.

avi, i was a horticulture teacher. you can't get rid of mealy bugs effectively with weak natural applications without risk of infecting an entire household of plants, and my apartment is too small for quarantining.

I just got a tree and we were thinking of migrating Mia's stick bugs from their tiny cage to my new tree. The stick bugs would be elated but the tree would be kind of unhappy, but I favor the stick bugs anyway.

if you move the stick bug to a tree, make sure you mist the tree sometimes! the tree will be okay that way.
