I hereby declare WD the best Nightingale album from the post-I period. It is on par with The Closing Chronicles with me, with excellent production and Dan's best vocal performance to date.

Didn't Dag write nearly all of the album?

Dag pretty much wrote the entire album with one exception being "Hideaway". Most of these songs were ideas Dag put together way back in the 80's. There are cool explanations in the CD booklet too.

Yeah its a huge difference in quality from EoS - Crimson days till now. He sounded good in clean voice on the Crimson albums but it was a tad rough. Now its so smooth. Probably one of the most identifiable voices in metal.

The more I listen to the last two albums the more I can't decide which I like more. Both just have great parts, and really both sound a bit different. Definitely be a 5star from me if I ever write up the review and send it over to Pardo. Been busy with catching up on all the stuff from last year I hadn't even checked to see if we had a review up there for White Darkness. =)

So can't wait to hear Second Sky...
