Ok well, since I've gotten pissed off by all the tabs that people do of Opeth songs cause they suck, I just started editing and rewriting a couple of their tabs. Mainly Orchid stuff so far, but I will probably start editing their other material as well since I've figured most of it out by now. Its hosted here at Tech, so here-

Well, I have guitarpro and powertab, but I dont know... Im not really good at figuring out whole songs on there because I cant do drums, nor bass, but I doubt you guys would care. Its a little tough for me to figure out all the time signatures so all the parts work out together and stuff. Maybe over xmas break ill try, cause Ill have plenty of time on my hands.

haha, I was gonna say, god-forbid that Neil finds this thread and pokes through every mistake. But anyway, it was just a suggestion man, if you don't feel confident in Guitar Pro or whatever, that's fine, but I think it just structures things alot better and gives people a better idea of what to play and where. But seeing as your tabs there are numbered nicely, it shouldn't be a problem either way.

Get Tabit, it's easier to use and there are plenty of good Opeth tabs on there.

No kidding, Powertabs has the most accurate Opeth tabs. I say this because I made half of them Anyway, seriously, a lot of the ones on mysongbook are pretty bad and JUST ABOUT ALL of them on tabit are junk. Also those programs cost money unless you want to be a bastard and get illegal versions. To the guy that made those Orchid tabs, they're good, so do some more! Like the twilight is my robe!

But when I open the programs I have NO volume! Whats going on here? Its not my computer because Im hearing a song right now and it all fine, I just cant here the songs on powertab to follow along with them! Please help!

You might want to check the volume of your MIDI output in the windows soundmixer, and check that its not muted.

I have tabs on my site that Mr. Niel figured out, and they sound good. I changed some parts according to the way they play it on the DVD. They aren't 100% accurate but no tab can be 100% percent accurate unless Mikael or Peter themselves tab it... they should do that... and release tab books of all the albums.. oh no wait, then we would have 1.000.000 threads about Opeth being sell-outs again..? Fucking morrons.

You might also want to go to the midi menu in powertab and select setup, and then select a different output device. Make sure it's set to a synth instead of a UART or something. (i think the windows synth is always a safe option.)

Now that the DVD is released, can someone do me a favor and tab "Harvest" once again.... I don't think these tabs on opeth's domain are correct.
I watched very carefull, but I cannot clearly make out every chord they're playing!
