My own band...need last pointers

I don't dig the guitars but you do, so I guess they won't be changing much. I would like to see them gel a bit better with the bass.. I think this needs to be changed in the bass and not the guitars.

My only other comment is that the vocals are sticking out wayyy too much. Too loud and too dry. When they go away the mix comes together nicely but when they come in they're way in front.

I'm not a huge fan of the music, but the ending was AMAZING, and give props to your drummer for the cool bits in the middle section (starting at about 2:15). Any chance of sharing that kick sample btw?

I did the solo and the sweeppart, the other guitarist did the tapping...I know, sweeps and tappings aren't really clean, I just used the first takes, cause I didn't have the time to do it properly (was just meant to be a myspace demo)....now I regret it, but gotta live with it ;)

I love the solo part and how the entire song is written. Very good songwriting imho. Solo playing whets the appetite for more. Will we have the pleasure to hear those solo battles in more songs of the album then? :)

I'm digging the song like hell!

Might be a bit fatiguing for the ears to listen to for a longer period, but still the rawness of the mix really suits the song! Is it a whole album or an EP?

it's just a single song for myspace for now...will record the whole CD somewhen later this year though....actually this is the weakest song ;)
 
Not exactly the kind of music I like but still you can tell that it's a very well written song. Some observations.... the tapping and the sweep are too low in the mix IMO which, I guess, was kinda on purpose because of the sloppiness? I don't really like it when both tapping and sweeps play at the same time, too much stuff going on at once and it sounds kinda messy. Rhythm guitar tone is a matter of taste I guess and although I think it fits the song well, I would've liked it a little tighter. I like the synths, they add a lot to the overall atmosphere.
 
I allready digged the song and loved the kick and snare the last time you posted that song...last time it was without strings, right?
normally i dont like guitars that dirty, but it fits the style very well...
guess i'd also buy an album with songs& sound like that!
