The low frequency driver cuts on and off, and now only works for a few seconds after power on. This just started happening a few hours ago. I've checked all connections, changed cables and made sure it's not the interface or computer. HF driver works fine. Feels weird, like that inverted phase feeling when you flip one channel on the master bus, until I realized the lows were only coming out of one monitor.

:yell:

Electrical gurus out there?

sounds like a bad/loose connection inside the monitor to the speaker or a bad power amp.. however I'm not sure how those monitors are set up.. say they had a 2 channel power amp, one for lows and one for highs a single channel in the amp could be bad.. but if it was a single channel power amp the monitor would not work at all

If it's cutting on and off intermittently, could be a cold solder joint either on the circuit board or the speaker itself, among other things.

I did get the thing at a pawn, so I'm fairly certain I don't have a warranty on it. Think KRK will get mad if I crack it open? :)

They'll send a stoner death squad to your house and eat all your asparagus.

There are a shit ton of screws but yeah go for it. (I have the same monitors)
