Those three bands/artists inform what I am all about and what musical inclinations I have succinctly. David Gilmour is god, the Texas trio have harmonies and melodies to make you weep, and Dev rocks my hairy anus. Anything I like/dislike are, effectively, filtered through those three.
I am a guitarist from Oklahoma, though, being an Army brat (and a member of the armed forces myself) I've been around the world quite a bit. I spent a good amount of time in Germany, and got to enjoy some of the fine metal festivals in the late 80's. (Especially the Iron Maiden/David Lee Roth tour and the Pink Floyd concert in Berlin with the fall of the Berlin Wall.)
I'll add comments here and there, I'm sure, but for the most part, I'm just here for the entertainment value and the metal news. (Blabbermouth is blocked by the military firewall where I am currently deployed, so UM has become me second home for metal news.)
