NAMM 2010

I wish I could, but as most already know getting tickets are a royal pain in the ass! If by some miracle I got some, I would love to meet some fellow sneapsters!

Just keep an eye on all the different forums.... Some manufacturers have a bunch of extras, I usually see them just giving them to whoever wants them...

Oh and whenever my amp company takes off, and I become a NAMM member, I promise I will hook you up with a ticket:headbang:

yea there used be a couple guys that had tickets over at the ESP forums, but I almost never venture over there since most of them are a bunch of elitist assholes, though I am relatively curious if any extras will show up around here.

I will keep a lookout!

haha, that reminds me to ask, what time frame are you looking to releasing your company? I am aiming for no longer than 3-4 years and that is pushing it pretty hard since I have some killer ideas spinning in my nut case brain of mine that I am keeping top secret until their release.

Maybe one day when we both have our shot together, we will have to do a limited edition collaborative amp. :kickass:

Trade shows are becoming tougher for companies in all industries to justify these days; it's cool that NAMM continues to outperform almost every other trade show of its kind in the USA. As much as people speak about the "death of the music industry," the flipside of that coin is that more people play instruments now than ever before, and the enthusiasm for music these days is immense, as is the ever-increasing talent level of bands.

After a couple of truly awesome marathon NAMM sessions with James Murphy in 2005 and 2006, I felt like I'd pretty much seen just about everything at NAMM I could want to see for a few years. Definitely fun, but very tiring after walking around for 8 hours a day. Great exercise, though... if you're going to do the all-day marathon, make sure to bring supportive/athletic shoes.

Recabinet/Kazrog Plugins may have a NAMM presence down the road, if it makes sense to. Next year, we're going to be releasing dedicated plugins, and depending on how that goes, a lot of things may be possible.

Before next summer hopefully. Trying to front the money for a bulk order of transformers and chassis is ridiculous. And I still need to get the prototype out before I even think about selling one.

I'm past the point of no return with the amount of money I have already spent, so it will happen for sure. I just hope I don't hit any hiccups along the way.

Yes, collaborative amp sounds good. We can just weld our two amps together and see if we get away with it haha.

Yeah, I hear you, I might take a loan or just work out of my garage, who knows, but to me the success will come from getting people wanting to buy them, the marketing. And if I have to build one amp at a time until I make the revenue to buy bulk then so be it, I would rather spend my time building each amp right and getting the name out than spending a shit load of money up front and have it flop on me.

Actually I am going to try to line stuff up and have my prototypes released at NAMM for some quick points, it would be great to talk with the artist there, gets some deals going, and maybe some vendors that want to sell them, seems to be the best way at getting in touch with eager vendors, especially if you have a killer product.

Well anyway good luck.

I'm going for the first time in my life. I don't know what to expect. For some reason I feel like it'd be like free sample day at the super market lol.

Should I bring a backpack so I put a ton of stuff in there or is that not allowed? Or maybe my preconceived ideas of it are completely wrong.

cool.
let me know if digidesign actually do have something up their sleave now wont you!

I'll definitely be there. Cool thing about my college is that Music Industry students are guaranteed passes as long as we can dish out the cash by some ridiculously sudden deadline haha. I went two years ago and it was the single most greatest experience of my life. Gear Pr0n ftw! :headbang:
