I bet the amp will be exactly like the Kustom Double Cross.
...more than likely something to aviod:Smug:

I'd say more than likely avoid to both to be honest, an 81 on bass could sound okay.....maybe.... don't knock it til you've tried it i guess.

And the amp, I can imagine will be terrible, purely going on the fact that no matter what album, syn's guitar tone has always been awful to my ears, especially nightmare

New UAD plugs. I'm feeling a UAD card purchase in the future.

The "focus" control on the schecter amp looks pretty cool.

Edit: I am dying to hear samples. May not make it through the day. May have to fly down to California's lesser half before the weekend is over.

I can imagine the youtube guys (ola, merrow, chappers) will demo it at some point... but there's no point leaving it to chance :p

The focus control is driving me nuts right now. I have never heard of this before. Do any other amps have it?? It seems like if it is done right it would be killer for AEs.

Also, what about the subwoofer in the cabinet? That's fucken awesome too. If I was at NAMM I would be at the Schecter booth all day today.

Actually that's not true, let's be honest I'd probably be at the bar.

Pretty sure the "focus" control is the same as on amptweaker products.

Making assumptions, i'm assuming that the focus control could work kind of like the 5 band eq on the mark v, or like a gradual boost to tighten up the bottom end (a'la tubescreamer)

The subwoofer in the cabinet sounds like an awesome idea, but for the purpose of recording i'd imagine it could cause a whole range of problems in the bottom end/conflicting with the bass.

That said i'm a noob, probably make no sense, and i'm going completely on guesses and assumption :D

Definitely could be great, but as I said before i'm not holding massive amounts of hope, purely because from the a7x albums, syn's taste in tone isn't the greatest.... imo anyway

Not even a guess, this IS what it is, the amp is designed by James Brown (6505, Triple XXX designer) who makes the same control on all of his Amptweaker products, they call it the "tight" control though.

If the other schecter amp has a tight control like the tightmetal then why would they have a focus control on this one if they were the same thing. I'd assume the focus control is something different.

Edit: So the focus switch has four positions, "VIII" "VII" "Normal" and "Tight" so not like the amptweaker tight control but probably similar.
