Narco reamp test (TS9 - E530 - V30 - SM57 - JoeMeek)

Hey guys,

I've been doing some real amp recordings lately and I'd like to know what you think about the guitar tone.
DI's are from Narcosynthesis by James. I reamped only 2 of the 4 tracks.

Signal chain: DI -> TS9 - Engl E530 - Rocktron Velocity - Marshall 1936 (V30) - SM57 - JoeMeek VC6Q - Protools.

I EQ'ed the track with the usual LP-HP and 2 small dips in the 400-700 Hz area.

Can´t go much into detail, but for me it sounds tip top!

This is the first time I'm actually pretty pleased with a miced guitar tone. I always used my Focusrite Green series preamp, which is very clean. I only used the JoeMeek for bass guitar. As I read an interesting article about the new JoeMeek series I thought: Hey, why not try to record some guitars with it? The result is much better, the JoeMeek is not a real sterile/ clean preamp, but is adds a little body to the sound, something I can't get with the Focusrite...
