Has anyone else seen this?

It's kinda Creepshow-esque, with the comic book type effects which are probobly the most fucked up and disturbing yet cheesey things I've ever seen. And it also features Cthulu, so I figured at least Cara or Derrick would know of this movie :loco:

The stories were kinda stock, but I still thought they were pretty good. Definatly recommended, if only for the effects.

I actually own two Necronomicon books...an old one from the 70's
and another one relatively new: printed in the 90's.
Its HARD to read this book completely, because its hard to keep up
but I guess knowing hebrew makes it easiera a little...
interesing read... you discover where so many metal bands got their names from

no, I haven't watched the show though... any good Laura?

As far as a movie, it's not really anything special. Kind of interesting, the way they try to tie it all together by involving Lovecraft, though it's just him going into this library and reading the supposed Necronimicon. The 3 stories that are the actual movie aren't anything unique - good stories, not great, but they could be in any horror anthology movie. They're all set in the mid to late 90's, so not really what you think you should be seeing when you're watching a movie about the Necronomicon. An okay movie. Hell, it's worth watching just for all the gory fucked-up death/sea monster/underground bat monster scenes alone.

I actually saw a copy of the "Necronomicon" at the bookstore, probobly the newer version you were talking about, Karen. The most I know about it is what I've read by Lovecraft.
