My 10 year old is ready for guitar lessons, and we're looking for a top-notch teacher. We're in the west Cobb area near Lost Mountain. Recommendations would be appreciated!

Call up Eddie Wright at Atlanta Music Brokers in Roswell - the store is at 9 & Holcomb Bridge behind Stoney River. He's the shiznit....just a MONSTER player. He's a jazz guy so can either teach you Stairway To Heaven, or the most insane theoretical jazz improvisation you can imagine. His technique is Petrucci-level. I've taken lessons from him on and off for about 10 years. Tell him I referred you....
he sometimes takes breaks from the store for touring or whatever, so if you can't get him there I have his cell number too....PM me....
ya know I spoke to you earlier concerning Patrick's friend Justin who was at one time teaching. Well, he's not currently teaching, but he sent me some info. First of all, check this guy out: Daniel Shortland. You have to watch his video and attempt to keep your jaw in place. I can probably put you in touch with him if you like. Otherwise, Justin said to try the Ken Stanton Music store at The Avenue on 120, or the new store on Hwy 92 in Hiram called The Fret Not. Justin believes his own teacher may work there now.
Anyway, good luck and please let me know if you need me to help you contact anyone.
I can put you in touch with my guitar teacher. I'll PM you the number when I get it. His name is Matthew Trautwein. He leads the local band Lost Boys, as well as various other projects. He's a great musician, and has an incredible wealth of knowledge. I love taking lessons with him.
