I'm looking to buy a new amp, the only problem is that there are jack all amps to play and test here in Adelaide! I like to play a lot of technical riffs, kinda like Protest/Periphery's style, so I need a cutting tone, but at the same time I need a ballsy sound to fill the mix, as I am the only guitarist. I was wondering if the ENGL retro would fill this sort of role if anybody has used it? I had a play on an ENGL powerball 2 and I liked the tone, but it seemed to lack some mids and diversity. What amp would you guys recommend from your experience? I have a marshall cab with V30's in it, but I only have a TSL60 head at the moment.
