So this is seriously just a rough song idea..I don't really take time on clean playing while I'm writing. Especially on transitions from different parts of the song..i just do something to get me to the next section while i've got my head wrapped around the idea I want. So needless to say..sloppiness an random part changes...BUT

How do you think the GTRS and drums sound...I feel like the Overheads can come down a lot.

GTRS = POD FARM
DRUMS = SLATE

UPDATED MIX WITH TWO NEWLY WRITTEN SECTIONS:

Took down the treble a little bit and brought back some mids. Too dark now????

I feel like I'm struggling with the OH volume because there aren't any vox. I feel when I get vox in...it'll give me and idea where the OH will sit.

And always...forgive my writing process GTR playing...I just lay the stuff down as fast as possible to get it outta my head before I forget.

THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK FELLAS!

I think the drums in general could go down in volume (just a bit on the drums themselves though, the OHs more). Guitars sound pretty good to me.

Thanks for the tip Gareth. I often like having a little more high end on my mixes. Does this feel like its on the WAY too much spectrum or take it down back to where I'd feel I need a little more. (Because I like to have a lil more high end).

AND

On the note of bringing down the high end. Do you think this is a situation where i'd be able to take down treble on the master bus? Or should I take it down on all the individual elements?

Thanks again for any input/tips/advice you have on how to make my mix better. :)

Are you doing some high shelving on the mix buss? In my opinion you need to turn down the OH, that should take care of that treble sound.
