apart from being a generic as fuck song and that the synth is waay to annoying:

- Kick sounds too programmed
- guitars and bass obviously don't compliment each other in an optimal way
- synths WAY to loud.

Guitars:

-too harsh, try to scoop some at 2kHz-ish frequencies
-low cut, high cut?
-m/s eqing?
-Make some room for the drums

Drums:

-spread them overheads!
-give it some room, so you can hear exactly which element of the kit is where!

Synths:

- try to limit the frequency range with cuts in order to fit them in the mix!
- try to be at least a BIT more creative at patches :D

to begin with something...

I agree the synths are ridiculously loud... I think the general rule is they shouldnt take the spotlight (unless its a special part) but if you were to mute them while listening, it should feel like something is missing. And yeah the patches are really boring. Try putting some drive on them, reverb, stereo delay, or whatever. Since my production roots are in EDM, i like to get all mad scientist with my synths... muahaha
