Neil Turbin Provides VH1 With Ultra-Rare Anthrax Footage

Onetime Anthrax Frontman Neil Turbin Provided VH1 With Rare Early Footage Of Anthrax But Will It See The Light Of Day?
As you all know, thrash metal pioneers Anthrax will be the subject of an upcoming episode of VH1s Behind The Music. What many of you may not know is that former vocalist Neil Turbin has provided VH1 with some of the earliest know rare footage of the band from the days of his tenure in the group.
Turbin provided what appears to be the only known existing footage of early Anthrax from 1982, 1983 and 1984. Behind The Music producer Lisa Cole had tracked down Neil's business manager Matt in the eleventh hour while the show was in post-production and told him that no one else could come up with the original Anthrax footage. We were hoping that Neil might have something, said Cole. Neil's responded to her, That would be like rewriting the Bible and completely leaving out Genesis.
As a courtesy to Anthrax fans worldwide, Neil provided VH1 footage of the original lineup for a 1982 New York cable television show called Unique Talent Showcase where Anthrax (Greg D'Angelo, Dan Lilker, Scott Rosenfeld, Greg Walls, and Turbin) were interviewed by Liz Derringer and performed two songs: "Satan's Wheels" and "Evil Dreams." In addition, he unearthed ive footage from the first gig after Fistful of Metal was recorded, from a show on December 6th, 1983 at Skateway 9 in New Jersey with the Anthrax line-up of Charlie Benante, Dan Lilker, Scott Rosenfeld, Dan Spitz, and Turbin. He also provided live and backstage footage from the first Anthrax headline show at L'Amours in Brooklyn, NY on February 25th, 1984, with the line-up of Frank Bello, Charlie Benante, Scott Rosenfeld, Dan Spitz, Neil Turbin.
Turbinis presently recording his first solo album, titled Threatcon Delta, which is due to be released in mid-2002. Neil first came to prominence as the original vocalist for Anthrax singing on their debut CD Fistful of Metal.
