What exactly do you mean by "populating"? You mean where to find a 183 card? Or do you mean you want to start a colony on a 183 card? Because it's quite small...unless you're a miniature person, jumping on the keys of your keyboard to type, in that case, I'm going to hide in my closet.
Here's a good forum for DIY stuff like that. I actually had a page I was looking at that had everything you need to build your own Neve clones. You could get all of the parts needed, including the 183 card. I'll sift around and see if I can find it.

Here's the page I was talking about, sort of. This guy built his own two channel rackmountable Neve 1272 preamp using parts he bought seperately. There are diagrams on how to populate the PCB and links to where you can get the parts.
I've seen that before, that guy is using a Seventh Circle Audio 1272 kit. I have some actual vintage 183 cards that are only half filled.
If you read that guys page he uses the term populate also, tech jargon for soldering the components to the board. Someone over at Phoenix audios forum was nice enough to send me some pics of his boards.
Uh...I was kidding about the populating thing...and the diagrams of the NOS 183 boards from SC are identical to the originals if I remember correctly. But I could be wrong. Either way, glad you found what you were looking for. Hurry up and put those resistors on and mic something up so we can hear it!
These ancient 183 boards look pretty primitve by comparison to the SCA boards. I figured out the letter/pinout code, that took a while, But now I'm in the process of making a layout diagram since my boards don't have the component numbers printed in it.
I need to scrounge up some transformers too, not the kind that are "more than meets the eye"
I'll probably end up using Sowters, unless you guys got better suggestions.
I've heard that the Sowters are fine. Actually I haven't heard that, I'm kidding. But I've never heard anything BAD about them, so I think that's just as valid as hearding good things, heh. Man, I was going to get a kit a while back to employ them in the studio. I mean, my friend made one a looooong time ago, and the difference between those 1272 clones and the Focusrite ISA and RED series we have here is phenomenal. I can't get my boss to spring for it, I don't think he trusts me with a soldering iron...even though I re-wired this entire place making all of the cables new cables myself...Oh well. Just gotta wait until I have an extra $500 or so laying around, which won't be a while until after I trick out my new Rhoads V, and get my custom made 8-string guitar...so $3,200 later, maybe I'll have the money for that 1272 clone, .
Oh is that you redoing the Rhoads/ Rhodes V?
Looks like you have some good ideas. I had San Dimas #152 from 1983 I miss it I tricked it out because someone put a kahler on it. I filled in the kahler route repainted it and got custom made stainless steel parts for it.
