Wow. After hearing "Dreaming Neon Black", I NEED MORE!
What albums are the best after that one? They have a new one coming out this year right?

I started with Dead Heart in a Dead World because I heard "The River Dragon Has Come" and it took me a while to get into that and its quite alot of cleans and its much slower than TGE. TGE is a fucking great album and is there best if you ask me but i'm still listening to DNB so i will get back to you :)

Enemies of Reality is meant to be good yet, im getting that next.

And the Obsidian Conspiracy? is coming out this year.

Nevermore - My favourite. Old school songwriting combined with that distinctive Nevermore element courtesy of Loomis/Dane. Garden of Grey is just fucking epic. What Tomorrow Knows is the videoclip/hit song...
The Politics of Ecstacy - A fan favourite, this is perhaps the most technical of their albums, you could also argue this is their real debut as the previous one was supposed to be a demo... Check out Seven Tongues of God, Next in Line and This Sacrament (what an awesome solo) to get the idea. Loomis goes apeshit on this album.
Dreaming Neon Black - My favourite. Perfect balance of everything, plus it has Beyond Within, Dreaming Neon Black, Poison Godmachine and that chillingly beautiful outro: Forever
Dead Heart... - This made them really famous in Greece, in my opinion it's inferior to the previous stuff but it still is a great album. I was a bit put back at the somewhat sterile drum sound but with songs like Narcosynthesis and Inside Four Walls you can't go wrong. Also, nice ballads (Believe in Nothing, Heart Collector)
Enemies of Reality - Two version exist of this album. The original mix, which is the SHIT mix and the Andy Sneap mix, which somewhat saves the situation. The album's music is actually REALLY good, one could argue this is one of their best but the production suffers. Still, since the shit mix seems to have gone away, I have seen more and more people cite this as their favourite. I'll just say that Seed Awakening is among the best Nevermore songs ever. Awesome riffage, the beginning just makes me wanna rage... Another "modern" Nevermore album, who purists won't like... I should clarify that puristsd would only tolerate the first one btw...And some songs here and there from the rest of the discography...
...and the Godless Endeavor - Their last until The Obsidian Conspiracy is released (can't wait!). I'd say it sums up pretty much the entire Nevermore catalogue, in a great production, heavy and clear, some awesome soloing, great songwriting. Check out Born, The Godless Endeavor, Sentinent 6 (the "ballad" - love it) to get an idea.

In short, I am a big Nevermore fan and I'd say as people have varying opinions on what their best album is, that's always a very healthy indicator that we are talking about a good band (ask yourselves: best Metallica album, best Death album, best Slayer etc...see what I mean?)

It's everything - I just find it really boring. No wonder half the people who play in Nevermore move onto other much better bands if you ask me.

You mean the second guitarist, cause the 4 core members have been together since the beginning. Hell, 3 of them were together since the Sanctuary days. And any second guitarist will be overshadowed by Loomis so it's no biggie.

Yeah man, judging by his work on Dreaming Neon Black (which is all I have), he is great guitarist.

Once you've gotten all the albums Keenan, look into getting Jeff Loomis' solo album, Zero Order Phase, aswell. Its bit like Nevermore with no vocals and more guitar wizardry. Check out Jato Unit on yousnstube or something.

Preview from the new album. Fucking slays!
