New Anathema album will a double album.

Every selfrespecting rockband has at least made one double album:

the beatles - the white album
fleetwood mac - tusk
the gathering - how to measure a planet
pink floyd - ummagumma & the wall

So now it's up to Anathema.

i find it sometimes gets boring after the 20th song. like that 'mellon collie' album from the smashing pumpkins, they could have dropped half the songs from there really.

yeah the challenge is to keep it interesting all the way, but Anathema can do that, I think it's cool if there would be a mellow and a dark heavy album

mellon collie shouldnt have been a double, after about 4 songs this voice is getting on my nerves.. and half of the songs is poo by the way

It won't get much heavier and darker anymore than something like Pulled Under, and while that's a pretty good song, I wouldn't want a full album of that.

you lot forgot about the new bad seeds album, or ain't that 'rock' enough? but yeah, there's enough proofs that a double album can actually work. could be cool, or then again could be a monsterous pile of shite.
