All Instrumental. I think this one's going to be more Rock-Funk-Jazz-Punk whereas the last one was straight up HipHop.
I haven't heard the release date yet.

Set for a June 26 release The Mix-Up will mark the trio's seventh studio endeavor.

For the disc the Boys saddled up their instruments--drums, guitar, and bass--plus enlisted the services of Keyboard Money Mark and percussionist Alfredo Ortiz. The 12 original tracks on the album are all brand new, wordless, sample-less, and scratchless.

Looks like the instrumental version of the Beastie Boys's upcoming album will be followed with another edition featuring vocal collaborations with other artists and remixes. The record is titled The Mix-Up and is due out June 26, 2007.

The band recently spoke to AOL about the record, with Mike D. explaining the plans:

We just made our list so we have to see who says yes and who likes us and who hates us.

It's tricky because we have producers and performers on there, but we have M.I.A. We're big fans of hers. She's on the A-list. Mark Ronson is hopefully doing something with somebody, but I'm not at liberty to say because that's up to him. We played some shows in Australia with Snoop Dogg and we had a very nice time with him so we're hoping to do some stuff with him some time.

I rest my case!!!
