New Beneath the Massacre

Honestly, loving this waaaaay more than the mix on Dystopia - I can actually hear EVERYTHING that's going on in this, especially with the guitars. Maybe not as much power or depth, but the clarity is unrivaled, which is KEY for this band.

I'm preferring this musically to Dystopia, although still fairly boring, but I was never a fan to begin with, but I have to say I preferred the mix on Dystopia a lot more. Sounded nice and industrial, enabled to me to visualise, quite literally, a dystopian atmosphere, sounded like rusted metal pipes and factories in states of disrepair, and this isn't really giving me any interesting vibes.

Definitely an improvement musically though.
And 20 bucks for a shirt cd and a 7" is a steal, damn.

Guitars sound weird to me. Something in the top end of them is gross and pointy, haha. Didn't listen to the whole song but it sounded fine. Standard BTM stuff. Thanks for posting this, didn't even know they were working on anything new.

music sounds good. if better than dystopia or not, who knows, time will tell. with BTM records i always need a couple of listens before i can decide if i like em or not lol.

prefering the mix of dystopia though, but it's hard to tell, the clips sound like pretty low bitrate mp3s.

Fuck :|! haha. Im diggin' on the music but the guitars (although drastically less muddy and MUCH tighter than dystopia) sound horribly thin and weak to me because the bass is so quiet.

The link isn't working for me, but if that's true, it's definitely a shame because the bass tone was probably my favorite thing about Dystopia. That said, I thought the last album just kind of blended together because most of the songs were so similar and not memorable and I was not really a fan of it.

The bass tone on Dystopia is what gave the guitar tone it's extreme thickness. It was the best example of guitar and bass tone working together that I've ever heard. On the new song that is definitely not the case.

I hope they go with the Yannick/Suecoff/Alan Douches team again for the next album.

On another note. They seems to get vinyl pressed really cheaply. Amazing prices.
