New BIOMECHANICAL Guitarist Shredding

Nice chops ....

Very good solos .... just didn't understand that "Final Countdown" feel the rhythm had to it... it just had that 80's feel to it.

I don't know why I mention that: I am about the farthest thing from Metal that there is!

But still - the tune is awesome! Wayy better than anything I could ever hope to do.

Thanks for the link.

He sounds like a cross between John Norum, Michael Amott and Yngwie Malmsteen. ;X
Which basically means that he sounds kickass, kickass, kickass but boring. ^^

I just.... I dont like this... I mean, his playing is good enough.. just the song is meh and the vid is weakness deluxe...

It sounds just too Joe Stump, MAB or something for me... of course without their arpeggio psychosis, but, still in that sort of "feel"

This thread needs more of this guy:

Well... I just picked up BIOMECHANICAL - Empires of the World ... i'm not a big fan of the vocals, but the music is pretty solid.

Andy, great job mixing.

oh btw, Im not in any way ripping on Biomech... just that video above... heheh.

Kiko's got his own model ESP out in Japan... 27 frets... scalloped above 12... very nice.

Kiko is a maniac! When I first heard Angra waaay back in 1997, there was a solo tradeoff on one of the songs from their debut, with Kai Hansen, Dirk Sclachter (Gamma Ray), Sascha Paeth (the producer, ex-Heavens Gate), Rafael Bittencourt (the other Angra guitarist) and Kiko trading their licks. When Kiko kicks is it's as if the sun rose, clear, fast, cleverly structured solo, my jaw dropped to the floor instantly! His technique is really something...
