New Black Stone Cherry/Howard Benson

I'm not usually into ultra compressed radio friendly rock but that shit sounds colossal. The bottom end is ridiculous. Any info about it?

Yeah the guy has quite a discography.

What I really love with this album is that it has *That* super lush and fat commercial sound but it doesn't

sound fatiguing to my ears.

I mean I admire Staub/CLA/Bendeth technical skills obviously but I can't listen to most of their mixes for a

prolonged period.

But I can listen to this album from start to finish without a problem.

Marlette did a GREAT job on the last album I thought. I love the way he trated the vocals on it. Really dry with a delayed ambience... fucking basadd

I used to like this band but the new record sounds like Nickelback or something like that... I've listened to it 3 times and forgot it ever existed (well, until now).

Last Black Stone Cherry was in my car for months! Loved the songs and the production! Can't wait to hear the new one.

I can't say I really like the music personally and the Nickelback comparison is somewhat valid. There are a

few good riffs here and there and the singer seems really good but I'm mostly interested in the production.

Also pretty sure this kind of band put a good show on stage but that's not the point.

I quickly listened to a few songs of their previous albums and from a "producer perspective" they aren't on

par with this one.

I love this album, both the music and the production.

I'm slowly becoming the worst metalhead in the world - I seem to be listening to a lot more Nickelback, southern rock and stuff than metal nowadays
