......Perhaps it is a national recognition, from her majesty herself, of Biff and the boys!!

Nothing else it could be mate !!!

Looks good! Would of looked much better with just the saxon S logo and
they could of put the eagle on the other side.
Maybe we should complain to the royal mint, this is just not good enough!!!!
:Spin:

Yeah - thinking about the current Royal attitude towards the media and the general public, somehow I think Saxon would be a much cooler monarchy! Biff on his throne (like in the 'Unleash' photoshoot) would probably be a much more effective Royal representitive!
Thinking about this...
I don't think anyone else has mentioned it, but the other day there was a documentry about Richard the LionHeart and the Crusades. It was on UK BBC 2. It was pretty good TV and explained quite a bit.

Yeah!! And i bet we (as a country) would get much more respect from the rest of Europe!:rock::rock::rock::rock::rock: LONG LIVE 'KING BIFF' all hail !!!!

With you on the European issue, Valanx - at least we would then be more popular with the Germans!

Paxo - glad you saw the documentry. I know that it was dramatised, acted and stuff (which can usually come across cheesey!), but I thought that it did its job well. It definately enlightened me on that situation more than any History Teacher could have done. It was interesting to learn about the personal battle that both leaders were doing with each other. That kind of put the religious issues into perspective.

Why they don't seem to teach this period of history in schools, I don't know! The most interesting thing I learnt was 'The War Of The Roses'! Apart from that, all the schools seemed to want to teach (during the '80s) was how crops were cut, roofs thatched and clothes were worn during the 16th & 17th Century! Wow! Not only very boring, but, in comparison to the previous LionHeart history, completely irrelevant to how our culture has been influenced and directed by the past!

Anyway harking back to the European issue - surely the fact we now have Saxon on our currency, is yet another reason not to adopt the accursed Euro (which I am reliably informed has 'The Pet Shop Boys' written on it. Probably). :Spin:

Paxo - bloody hell! The Spinning Jenny! Now that is a nightmare from the past! Now, I'm the first to promote the idea of personal development but all I can ask is 'Why?'!!
I also was never taught anything in regard to World War I & II, yet somehow I feel that these events are kind of relevant to how our culture has evolved and how we perceive the world. It would have also taught me a Hell of alot about how the human mind works (Hitler anyone?) and would have confronted the issues of prejudice, racism, religious culture and the need human instinct has of territorial requirments!
Sorry... I went off on one then! Not as though I have a chip on my shoulder about my crap education or anything!
But, back to your point, Paxo: yeah - The Spinning Jenny has a huge influence on world history! It's right up there in the top ten, ain't it!!!

DirtySanchez - I'm with you on the Euro. I really don't want it, Man! It's not as if I'm a Royalist or anything (far from it!) but it has got a potentially huge impact on the UK's identitity and, more importantly, financial stability.
As for the Pet Shop Boys - well, I'm sad to admit that they come from England. If any European countrie wishes to adopt them, you are so very welcome!

Has anyone had one of these coins yet?? are they in circulation ?
I want one so i can frame it!! lol

Don't think I've come across one yet, Valanx!

'The Seed Drill'?!!

Oo-Err, Missus! Sounds a bit rude, what?
I think I may already have one of those!!

Although, it is cool that boring history stuff has been remembered, simply because it is connected to Rock 'n' Roll! See, Mum & Dad - it is good for educational things, too!!

" The seed drill " lol :tickled: wtf !!!
Now that would be a cool name for a band !!!
