New Cult Of Luna Album Title And Cover Revealed

wedish art-rock outfit CULT OF LUNA have officially set the title of their upcoming album as 'ETERNAL KINGDOM'.



CULT OF LUNA's fifth full-length album is being recorded at Tonteknik Studios in the band's hometown of Umea. The follow-up to 2006's critically aclaimed SOMEWHERE ALONG THE HIGHWAY, ETERNAL KINGDOM is set to be a much heavier and darker affair than previous albums.

Guitarist ERIK OLOFSSON had the following to say: "It is with great ambition and struggle we have created a very heavy album. The sound is strong and progressive.

Our compositions do not hold back on anything this time!"

Really liked their last album. But I don't get it, is it going to be "darker" or "happy"? They said both.

The cover doesn't look particularly joyous in my view.. I am not sure really what to expect.. Hopefully they'll manage to push their style even further.

I'm trying to avoid expecting anything with this. Or hoping.. Just going to try and wait and see how it is.

Wish it was out earlier, or that Watershed was out earlier.. So i had one album to kind of tide me over til the next one!

eternal kingdom reminds me of a kaledon title. and i dunno the cover is just making it tough to me to try and pick up the hints on the music. will wait and see.
