Very happy to announce the Deftones just released a brand new track from their upcoming cd "Diamond eyes" (coming out 5-18-2010!)

The Deftones posted this song in a myspace blog a few hours ago, it's titled "Roller Skates" and it is fucking sick!

Yes they are nu--metal and they do dabble in a bit of screamo-ish techniques.. but trust me, I don't dig that screamo shit at all. I think Deftones pulls it off because they do it in such a dark way... yadda yadda yadda. I'm not gonna change any ones mind that thingks myself or other people that enjoy Deftones' work is a FAG.

Say what you will, but this song kicks ass.

Deftones definitely carry a sound that's immediately recognizable as Deftones, although I don't classify nu-metal as being metal, nor do a lot of the folks on this forum.
