pumped for this, my least favorite albums of theirs are still good listens and the new tracks are pretty awesome. I read some random promo blurb somewhere about this new disc and they were going on about how different it was going to be, how it was going to be a departure from the Miss Machine era...

These tunes dont sound like much of a departure to me at all though, fine by me. I loved the last one.

I think it would be cool if the album kind of arched a bit more than those in the past. I always like the material but sometimes the sequencing of the songs seems lazy in my opinion.

Ehh. Miss Machine was a huge step backwards (imo) from their first stuff with Dimitri.

Haven't listened to much of their new stuff since then. All just sorta sounds the same to me (and I fucking HATE people who say that!) =/

And he's SO fucking versatile. To think he's done Saves The Day, The Wonder Years, DEP, Suicide Silence, etc... Just insane. Can't wait to hear what he does with the newest Misery Signals album that he's set to mix.

I've been a DEP fan since Miss Machine came out when I was 14, but this album sounds super same-y compared to their other material. I have a bad feeling they're running out of ideas. But I'm keeping an open mind.
