A defining moment in my room's setup history today. I scored this desk for an excellent £12.50 which needless to say ended my desk hunt with great success. Nice chair, £35. Adam A7's priceless

I must say, everything that people have had to say about these monitors is bang on. Im hearing things in songs I never did before on the ESI's (and i thought they were very good too). The midrange is really fucking epic. I now get to hear snares pop, crack and smack as they are meant to, and guitars grind! Very very impressive quality. Anyhow, enough rambling, here are a couple of pics, and I thought what the hell and took a few photos of some of the guitar collection to go along with it :kickass:

Just enough space for everything! (Right monitor probably could benefit from moving to the accross for better seperation?)

My Cheapy but toneful yamaha.

Ah, there's my old baby - and that Palm Bay Cyclone is gorgeous too! Sweet setup dude, hope it sees the creation of many awesome tunes! :headbang: (but yeah, spreading them further apart for a wider stereo image will make a staggering difference)

Nice setup, and agree with marcus that the palm bay cyclone looks nice as fuck. Is that yamaha and FG series?

I will get on that then dude, for sure! I have one snag however, and thats the fact that i am going to have to order a longer cable of good quality to do the deed. Red ibby is still going great, usually the first choice lead guitar atm still!

Here's some blue cyclone porn for you again if you guys like it lol. If I havent noted before, its got a GOTOH bridge, and its the most slaying floyd i've ever played.

Welcome to the A7 club. Now if you could manage to get them further apart from each other and away from the walls you'd appreciate them even more.

Cheers Shad, yeh. Im not getting the best seperation just yet so the move is clearly going to be a good one. Being stuck in the bedroom at the moment is a bit of a bummer as im not really going to be able to do much more as far as getting them away from the walls goes, but still really really happy so far!

ohh and +1 on the adams, we have a really nice, massive set at college, really really f'in loud!!

Im still waiting for everyone to get the hell out of the house so I can pump these up Jonesy :Shedevil: What have you got at college then dude? And damn you for out bargaining my bargains with the £1 chair

wey the place i used to work used to throw stuff out but gave it to colleagues if they wanted for a donation, so i donated a quid, and got an awesome chair!!!! the reason it was being thrown out was caus it was dirty, but it cleaned up perfect!!!!

well we have loads of studios at college, ranging from ns10s in most, with massive pmc main monitors in the flagship neve studio, but in one of the project studios we have Adam P22As, they are some seriously nice monitors like!!!

They should do okay, but aren't really mains or anything. I've been tracking on S3As for the last month and they certainly have a limit (which, conveniently, is past the 'ouch, that fucking hurts' point).

Great score Kev. I hope it leads to some fruitful productions for you.

I'll post up one of these after I get the Opals later in the month. Can't wait.

Speaking of chairs though, I got mine for a few hundred. Ugh.

Desk and proper rack case/cabinet is yet to come.

Those GOTOH trems are awesome, I have one from1990 & still perfect tuning stability.:headbang:

I have that same Optimus Prime case - except it has blue trim. :kickass:

Hahaha, dude, where did you get it?

Cheers Ermz, thats a mighty good setup at yours there. Air conditioned cave i bet!

Got some sexy looking gear in your room there Kev. Nice score!

Thanks Dan! How are you diddling at the mo, anything new?

Definitely dude, I would like to fit them to all my guitars but it would be an expesnive ball ache lol

Hahaha, dude, where did you get it?

I got it from a US distributor called NEWEGG.COM a couple years ago. My son was really into the Transformers so I thought it would be funny to get the case when I was building a new system. I'll try and get a picture to post once I track down my camera (hmmmmm - I think my sister borrowed it ).

Nothing really new gear wise since a Rode NT4 and Cubase 5 afew months ago. All being used for an album I'm working on at the moment. Keeping me busy as all hell between that, work and looking for a house :erk: Can't wait to finish either the album or the house.
