Saw them in New York at the Gramercy, they were fuckin awesome, although not that many people were there. I think Dream Theater were playing somewhere else not to far from there so that's probably why so few. Can't wait for new cd should be kiler!!!

Just got the promo today, and WOWZA! Could be the best Firewind album to date, and for a diehard fan like me....that is saying something!

Amazon has the digipack version on sale for $9.99. I just pre-ordered a copy.

From http://www.bravewords.com/news/189659 :

Having just returned from some successful shows in Asia, Greek melodic metallers FIREWIND debut their newest video, off their current album, Few Against Many. The clip, for the song 'Edge Of A Dream' (featuring APOCALYPTICA) was directed by the band’s own Bob Katsionis for Progressive Vision Group, and brings the classy feel of metal ballads back into a modern spotlight.

Gus G. checked in to comment about the clip as follows: “We shot the video for 'Edge Of A Dream' earlier this year in Greece. You can see the beautiful landscapes we caught on film and I assure you that Petros and Jo didn't hold it against us for not appearing in the clip! Actually this clip was directed by our band member Bob Katsionis, who is also an acclaimed video director. He has directed the clip for 'Head Up High' back in 2008 among others. I think he has done an excellent job once again! Enjoy!”

It's good, but I think they're slipping a little. I hope they do a US tour for this album, maybe with Gus's new connection with Ozzy FW will give them some reflected glory and a chance to go out and do a solid headlining run.

It didn't help them much when they toured here last year. Attendance was dismal. There were more people in the bands that toured than there were in the audience.

I'm with you. The new album has good songs, but is far to be as excellent as their last 3 ones IMO.

As for a tour, I'd love to see them again, but the poor turnout of the last tour might prevent this, sadly...
