OK, I have never been a fan of the band, and honestly have only heard a couple of songs.... The whole gimmick thing is just too much for me to take the music seriously. However, this new track is all kinds of awesome. The rhythm reminds me of old Fates Warning / Arch-Matheos stuff, and the progressions sound a little bit like DT, all with a very smooth vocal line over the top.

I am seriously impressed here, and need to hear the rest of the album....

Also never could get into them, but I really enjoy this track. The beginning is very influenced by a Slayer song which I can't name right now.

not hearing the FW or DT to be honest. Definitely get the Slayer vibe from the opening

I had read somewhere that this album was going to be heavier than the last two, and it seems that way from this song.

For those of you that don't get into the theatrics, do yourself a favor and catch them live. Fantastic show. I was kind of on the fence about them till I saw them live, and it made me an instant fan.

You should give their albums a chance. All great stuff, gimmicks aside they are great writers.

I loved their first album when it came out. The second took a while but it grew on me. This track has a lot more instant appeal. I'm really looking forward to this album.

The second album was definitely more of a grower, which has a lot to do with the more progressive elements. The first is just some great catchy occult hard rock.

Actually what turned me off about Infestissumam at first were the circussy sounding keyboards (especially on the first single, "Secular Haze").
