On behalf of Metal Blade Records, I am proud to announce that Florida Death Metal trio Hate Eternal is set to release its new album Phoenix Amongst the Ashes on May 10 via Metal Blade Records.
Erik Rutan formed Hate Eternal after parting ways with Morbid Angel. The band has since secured a spot as one of the world’s leading death metal acts and this record will only add to their momentum.
The 10 song RELEASE is proving to be a milestone in the genre, combining the masterful elements of brutal death metal with twisted dark melodies that creates a new atmosphere altogether. Recorded at Rutan’s own Mana Studios, the front man also took on the job of producer. With bands like Goatwhore, Nile and Vital Remains on his roster, there’s no argument that the elite level of musicianship is rivalled by the production quality.

The album’s track listing is as follows:
01. Rebirth
02. The Eternal Ruler
03. Thorns of Acacia
04. Haunting Abound
05. The Art of Redemption
06. Phoenix Amongst the ashes
07. Deathveil
08. Hatesworn
09. Lake Ablaze
10. The Fire of Resurrection

...and not a single fuck was given.

Erik Rutan: “‘Lake Ablaze’ is a song that starts with a traditional kind of Hate Eternal vibe to it, but travels down a much more heavier and darker path. With its sinister dynamics and truly creepy aura, I think this song really stands out for its unique elements and is just pure evil to the ears. Every song on this album is very unique from one another, so this is one of many journeys people will endure while listening to Phoenix Amongst The Ashes.”

It just sounds exactly like all their other songs to me - relentless fucking blasting. Can't they do anything different?

Just heard this album. About 8 times. It's awesome.

I do not like that this thread started out as an advertisement though. By someone with only a single post.

o_O, this album is pretty damn awesome. Catchy, melodic, and a much more mature Hate Eternal.

Hopefully the songs match the musicianship this time, and it's not just relentless blasting.
The instrumental on the last album is the one track I seriously enjoy.

Pretty much my thoughts some variation would be nice, but I also hope they take a different direction in mixing/producing maby decrease how much bass is in the mix this time. I can't listen to Fury and Flames without developing a headache. Not from the music being bad or anything but just because the album is phsyically painful to listen to it.
