New Haunted track on their MS = disappointing

Exactly as the title says. Heard the new track last night on their MySpace page... really disappointed in the music itself. The production is great, everything I expected it to be, Madsen is the man. The song writing is...wow though. Hopefully the rest of the tracks on the album will kick ass, because the one they have up showcasing the end product of their time in the studio so far is junk IMO.

Just had to get that out there. I feel much better now.

Just noticed I double-posted the thread. Will delete when I get home...my work has a filter for anything that has "MySpace" in the url so I thought it didn't post on the first one.

I was hoping for some old school Haunted, and was presented with some weaksauce "metal". Hopefully the rest of the album is swedish-death to the max - otherwise I will say that The Dead Eye was their retirement album

Whoa!

I heard the track today and was excited as hell. I was really disappointed with The Dead Eye due to the lack of aggression when compared to rEVOLVEr or the S/T, but the new track kicked some serious donkey balls. Can't wait for the album

I dunno man, there were several aggressive parts in the Dead Eye that made me more than satisfied

However, I see what you mean how it isn't as aggressive as past releases.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to describe. The Dead Eye is an angry album for sure, but it hasn't got the same straightforward punch-in-the-face aggression it's precedessors had. Brilliant album nonetheless, just not on par with for example rEVOLVEr in my books.

this is different. it will take me a while to form an opinion. i can say this: good production, and FUCK MYSPACE PLAYER IN ITS STUPID ASS!!!!!!!

It sounds like The Haunted to me.....I like it.

Slightly different tonality, but this wouldn't be out of place on either of the last 2 albums.

I will have to check the song out again when I get home. Only heard it the one time before posting this thread. I, obviously, didn't like it the first time I heard it but all of you guys seem to like it...
