man, this album is so loud!!
i really like the music for its heaviness - although i am not a big fan of this super triggered 'spaceship' drum sound.
don't get me wrong, i really the record.:notworthy

anybody noticed the amount of multiple guitars? - maybe jacob can give us some details of the mixing process - that would be really cool!!
how many guitars in generall, how many voc tracks, if there is a single drum track naturall (except the overheads),what reverb on the drums, and what is this china? - it sounds like, well i don't know - crazy.

cheers,
alex

It isn't out yet is it? I like to listen it so bad!

BTW Second album today which is produced by Jacob and got a thread on this board ;)

Uh, I'll try to recall... In general there were 4 guitars going on, but here and there they'd add 4 more rhythm guitars for effects or whatever. It was hell :) Haha. And occasionally 2-4 melody guitars (and 8-10 keyboard tracks) would come in.

I actually haven't listened to it since I mixed it... Yes, the drums got kinda big, but they specifically asked for larger-than-life toms, and I believe I used 2 reverbs on snare and toms, 1 that is simulating ambiance, and a normal drumroom 1.1ms from my TC M2000. The only thing that's not being used from the original kit is the bassdrum. Extra cymbals were added here and there for effects.
