I always get so excited when i read the phrase "new Helloween" then i remember i have not liked their last few albums :/ like the others i will definatly give this a spin and see how i fancy it, but for me they have just lost their touch , sad cause they were the first metal band i ever listened to and loved to bits, however i hope that the album is a return to their more speed metal tinges, and without click, should be fun to see how solid the drummer acctually is, (i just dont like him cause Uli Kusch for me is THE helloween drummer,)

Captain Caveman is a great drummer indeed and I also thought an extremely important aspect to their songwriting for the time he was in the band but I have to say Löble impressed the hell out of me on their last couple cds (not that anniversary bullshit thing they did at the beginning of the year). He's not as progressive as Kusch but he's tricky in a real interesting way. Doesn't repeat his patterns all the time, he'll throw in a subtle change almost each time to where you don't really notice at 1st but you start discovering it on multiple listenings. I like that

However I have to say .. Schwictenberg was THE man. That motherfucker had attitude

I'm really looking forward to this cd, I really thought aside from one bullshit track, "Gambling..." was an almost perfect Helloween cd

Everytime I listen to a Helloween song I wonder how could I like the band so much when I was young. Their only album that I can stand nowadays is Better Than Raw.
