HUBI MEISEL - PRESS NEWSFLASH - MAY 2007

Dear friends & media partners,

The production of Hubi Meisel’s 3rd concept album, which will be entitled “TRINITY”, has been in progress for quite a while already. “TRINITY” forms the completion of a conceptual trilogy, which started with EmOcean in 2004 and was then continued with Kailash in 2006.

Hubi Meisel is glad to announce that his former bandmate in Dreamscape, Wolfgang Kerinnis, has joined him on this 3rd journey and will play the guitars on 5 songs. For the instrumental music, Hubi once again closely cooperated with French keyboardist/composer Vivien Lalu, and also the rest of the TRINITY crew consists of well-known colleagues. The full line-up is:

Hubi J. Meisel – vocals
Vivien Lalu (Shadrane) – keys
Wolfgang Kerinnis (Dreamscape) – guitars
Marcel Coenen (Sun Caged) – guitars
Jorge Salán (Mago de Oz) – guitars
Daniel Flores (Mind’s Eye) – drums
Johan Niemann (Therion) – bass

The recordings have already started, and the album will be completed in the course of this year. The release of “TRINITY” is scheduled for 2008. Stay tuned, more details will follow on www.HubiMeisel.com

Best wishes from Munich,

Why is it poor...I don't like Hubi's voice...but the music is good. I didn't like him in Dreamscape and his solo albums have done nothing to change my mind that his voice is too soft and fairylike.

wow, you're on a roll tonight, aren't you?

yep...and i also think Therion's latest album is bland and unispired too

I couldn't disagree more. I love Hubi's voice and was so dissapointed when i found out he was no longer in Dreamscape. His voice fit the music perfectly. His solo releases are both killers as well. Looking forward to hearing the new one and would love to see him perform at PP.

Ditto! EmOcean and Kailash are packed with killer tunes! He always chooses great musicians to work with!

Funny thing, I had no idea he was in Dreamscape until recently. It would be nice to have him a PP but I'm not sure if everyone there would appreciate getting all emotional :loco:

Agree with you 100%. Though I like the new Dreamscape singer's voice, too, it took some getting used to because I like Hubi's voice so much.....Very is probably still my favorite by them. Hubi doesn't have the "typical" metal voice, which is one reason I like it but I'm a prog fan, so I actually like variety in my music (vs. every singer/song/band sounding pretty much the same).

That's part of the reason I like his material so much. It's unique but works well with his great voice. It would be interesting to hear Dreamscape's newer material with Hubi on vocals. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if he does a guest spot on a future Dreamscape album.
