HYPOCRISY, the Swedish extreme metal band led by guitarist/vocalist Peter Tägtgren (also of PAIN), has set "A Taste Of Extreme Divinity" as the title of its new album, due on October 23 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records. Peter states, "I'm at the end of the recording and mixing; a few songs left to sing on. The rest are done mixing-wise. It's just been too busy with touring and recording bands, and I didn't wanna burn myself out totally." He adds, "We're happy [with] the result so far; it got everything a HYPO album should have in our own point of view."

So, how do you think it will sound this time around?

I don't know what to think. It's one of the bands that got me into Metal, but I rarely listen to them now. If it's anything like, or a progression from Virus, I'd love to hear it.

The only glory days this band had for me are when Masse was the singer, and the fourth dimension. I quite enjoyed the progression on that effort, but after that they kind of went off in a not so listenable direction for me.

That guy's techno project is awesome if it's an ironic parody of modern music, but I'm sure it's not, so it's the worst music I've ever heard.

I can understand not liking Hypocrisy's newer stuff but it was a great entryway into metal and compared to other gateways into metal like In Flames or Opeth it's far superior. I have to admit that if I was just starting with Hypocrisy now I might not bother with them but since I've already gotten into them so much I enjoy all their albums a lot.

Peter is god.

I masturbate daily thinking about this new album... :headbang:

No hypocrisy song or album has ever been deathcore by the way. Catch 22 had so nu metal elements, but not deathcore.

Yeah? I don't see how In flames are any less good then Hypocrisy...I'm not talking about CC-ASOP, Strictly LS - R2R

Plus Opeth? have achieved so much more musically then Hypocrisy in every way possible.
