From the Voyage of the Damned album released early next year comes a new song called Taken. I've never been into Iron Fire apart from the odd album but they never seem to bring the ear candy for my tastes and Martin Steen's raspy, sleazy vocals are party of the problem. However the new song is not bad though it's not the full song quite but you get the drift..

I've always written Iron Fire off as a cheesy second-rate Hammerfall, but their new album is KILLER. It's darker, more progressive and is just really really effective on every level. I know it's early, but Voyage of the Damned is the best power metal album I've heard so far this year.
They've always been a cheesy second rate Hammerfall hehe! So you don't think Primal Fear's new album is better? By the way I haven't heard Iron Fire's new album but I'll be amazed if I like it more than Primal Fear. Mainly cause Ralfie wipes the floor with Martin Steen in every way God damn way going. However I will give them a chance cause the song snippet is decent.

The new album sounds like it's from a totally different band. And yes, it's better than the new Primal Fear. It's not as predictable at least.
